Women Voice and Leadership (WVL) - 2025

The Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) Kenya program is a six-year initiative aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of Women’s Rights Organizations (WROs) and networks across Kenya. This documentary will showcase the gains, challenges, and key lessons from the program, highlighting the adaptive strategies adopted by WROs to navigate evolving social, economic, and political landscapes. It will also shed light on the advocacy efforts spearheaded by WROs, which have led to the development and implementation of progressive policies promoting women’s rights in Kenya. Through this, the documentary captures the transformative power of locally-led women’s movements in shaping policies, challenging norms, and driving sustainable change.
